I made it to July 11th.

Everyone else was cracking early on, saying that 2016 was the weirdest year that they had ever experienced, wondering what even was 2016, asking how 2016 was even real…

And I?

Well…I made it to July 11th.

All of the headlines, the articles, the posts…

They fazed me, of course, but I did not crack.

Not until today.

Not until July 11th.

Not until about three minutes ago when I saw that the Westboro Baptist Church had recruited a Pokemon in order to battle another Pokemon named LoveIsLove which was put there by a user as a middle-finger to combat the church’s outrageous homophobic/transphobic beliefs.

Yes, my friends, you heard that right.

The Westboro Baptist Church is currently engaged in a Pokemon Battle.

And I…I am now thoroughly convinced that 2016 is not real.

(Note: For any of my followers who disassociate, 2016 is in fact real, it’s just really really weird.)
